1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Glaura mobile application, operated by Glaura, which connects customers (Glowees) and providers (Glowers) for the booking and management of beauty services. The app is intended for users in France, in Paris, and in the EU and complies with the GDPR and French legislation under the supervision of the CNIL.

2. User Roles

  • Clients (Glowees): browse, book and review services.
  • Providers (Glowers): register, offer and manage their services and bookings.

3. Registration and Account

Users may register via Google or Apple (OAuth 2.0) or manually with first name, last name, email, phone number, address and password. Users must be at least 16 years old. Users under 16 must provide explicit parental consent by contacting dpo@glaura.ai. Users are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for all activity on their account.

4. Purpose and Use of the Service

The app facilitates discovery, booking and communication between salons and clients. It is not intended for unsolicited promotion or as a public directory without consent. Glaura acts only as a technical intermediary and is not responsible for the performance or quality of services.

5. Payments and Deposits

Card information is not stored. Refunds are managed between the client and the provider according to the provider’s own policy. Glaura may receive a commission for platform services.

6. Access to Location

Glaura requests access to location only to display nearby salons via the Google Maps API. Providers can pin the address of their salon. Location data is not retained beyond this use and is kept for a maximum of 2 months.

7. Communication

The app provides encrypted messaging between clients and providers after a booking. Phone numbers are shared only after booking confirmation or with explicit consent.

8. Notifications

Push notifications are used for bookings, messages and updates. Users may disable these notifications in their device settings.

9. Acceptable Use

Users must not:

  • engage in abusive, harassing or illegal activities
  • publish offensive or discriminatory content
  • attempt to access or modify the app’s services without authorization
  • upload malicious content or infringe intellectual property rights

10. Content and Intellectual Property

Users may post reviews or photos and grant Glaura a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display them. All elements of the app (text, code, trademarks) are protected by intellectual property rights.

11. Suspension and Account Deletion

Glaura may suspend or terminate accounts in case of rule violations or inappropriate behavior. Sanctions may include warning, temporary suspension or permanent deletion. Users can delete their account at any time; all data is permanently deleted within 30 days, subject to legal obligations.

12. User-Generated Content

Our Service may allow you to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). You are responsible for the Content that you post on or through the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

13. Prohibited Content and Activities

You agree not to post any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, profane, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable. This includes, but is not limited to, content that promotes discrimination, bigotry, racism, hatred, harassment, or harm against any individual or group. You agree not to engage in any abusive behavior towards other users. Abusive behavior includes, but is not limited to, harassment, bullying, and spamming.

14. Content Moderation

We have no obligation to, but reserve the right to, monitor, filter, and remove any content that violates these terms. We also reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account for posting objectionable content or for abusive behavior. We will act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours by removing the content and ejecting the user who provided the offending content.

15. Instagram / Meta Integration – Providers (Glowers)

Providers may connect their professional Instagram account to the Glaura app in order to automatically display certain content on their Glaura profile.

Connection Conditions

By connecting their Instagram account, Providers:

  • authorize Glaura to access their public content via Meta’s official APIs
  • confirm they hold the necessary rights to the content published
  • accept that only posts containing the hashtag #glaura may be displayed

Glaura does not post any content to Instagram on behalf of the Provider.

16. Responsibility for Imported Content (Instagram)

The Provider remains solely responsible for:

  • content published on Instagram
  • its legality, accuracy and compliance
  • respecting copyrights, image rights and Meta policies

Glaura acts only as a technical intermediary and cannot be held liable for content imported from Instagram.

17. Removal of Content (Instagram)

  • The Provider may revoke Instagram access at any time
  • Deleting a post on Instagram leads to its deletion on Glaura
  • Glaura reserves the right to remove any content deemed:
    • illegal
    • misleading
    • offensive
    • non-compliant with these Terms or Meta rules

18. Suspension Related to Social Networks

Glaura may suspend Instagram integration or the Provider’s account in cases of:

  • abuse of hashtags
  • fraudulent or misleading content
  • violation of Meta policies
  • repeated reports

19. Provider Obligations

Glowers must provide accurate and up-to-date information, honor accepted bookings and comply with consumer protection laws.

20. Liability

Glaura disclaims all liability for the performance of services, user-generated content or external links. The app is provided "as is" without warranty.

21. External Links

External links may be provided for information purposes. Glaura is not responsible for their content or practices.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris.
